From January to September, the fisheries in Campeche produced 26.51 million kilograms of seafood, with a value of 548.11 million pesos. The production included various seafood such as shrimp, crab, snail, oyster, Mayan octopus, dogfish, shark, squid, and stingray. The most anticipated fishery of the year was the octopus, with a production volume of 3.18 million kilograms and a value of 111.39 million pesos. However, the most important economic spill was from the cultured and marine scale, with a production volume of 21.20 million kilograms and an economic spill of 292.25 million pesos.
