When she was offered to pursue a doctorate in Agricultural Sciences at the National University of Entre Ríos, agronomist Cintia Michelin did not hesitate to focus her study on maize production, and in particular, on the "many questions" that producers have not yet been able to answer in the province. "The yield in Entre Ríos is around 6,000 kilos and, given the soil and environmental conditions, we could achieve between 11,000 and 12,000 in dryland systems. There is still a significant gap to close," the agronomist pointed out in conversation with Bichos de Campo, expecting to reach useful conclusions for the sector in approximately a year and a half.
