Minister Luis "Toto" Caputo published on social media a graph showing the evolution of Argentine exports measured in quantities, in which it is possible to observe a phase of exponential growth during the 90s that was interrupted in the middle of the first decade of the present century. Caputo published the graph without making any mention of it, which probably indicates that he does not have the time or desire to engage in controversy on social media, although he did indirectly state that it is possible to grow with an appreciated exchange rate, which was the characteristic of the 90s and is the hallmark of the economic policy of his administration. Such an approach may be very convenient and playful for intellectual paupers, but the leap in exportable supply recorded between the end of the last century and the beginning of the current one is due to a technological revolution that occurred at the right place and time in Argentine history.
