Cattle rancher from Ituverava is a pioneer in the certification of farms in SP

The cattle industry in the state of São Paulo has in Cláudia Junqueira, from Ituverava (SP), an example of pioneering spirit and forward-thinking. She is the owner of the first certified farm in the state of São Paulo, having joined the bovine traceability program at a time when sustainability and technology were still in their infancy in the sector. This forward-looking attitude towards modernity is what defines the Brazilian cattle farmer's commitment to progress. Joining the traceability program was a milestone, but Cláudia Junqueira's passion for innovation dates back decades: the cattle farmer participated in the first embryo pregnancy auction in Brazil. She was one of the first to perform embryo transfer in cattle, during a period when the technology was viewed with skepticism by more traditional farmers.
