(Cheongju=Yonhap News) Reporter Cheon Gyeong-hwan = Cheongju City announced on the 29th that agricultural corporation Happy Livestock was selected for the '2026 Forage Crop Specialized Complex Creation Project' bid, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The Forage Crop Specialized Complex Creation Project aims to establish a stable supply system through the scaling and clustering of forage crop cultivation.
The city plans to create a total of 72 hectares of forage crop specialized complexes in the areas of Buk-i-myeon and Naesu-eup, Cheongwon-gu, by 2030.
The costs necessary for creating the specialized complex, such as seed purchase expenses, will be supported over a period of 5 years.
A city official said, "With the selection of this bid, the self-sufficiency rate of forage crops will increase, leading to an expansion of domestic forage crop production," and added, "We will continue to devise support measures to ensure a stable supply of high-quality forage crops."
