Cheorwon County to recruit participants for agricultural product processing startup education until November 15

(Cheorwon=Yonhap News) Reporter Yang Ji-woong = Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province, will conduct a four-week education program on agricultural product processing entrepreneurship for residents from next month 20th to November 13th at the Cheorwon Agricultural Product Processing Education Center.

This education program is structured to systematically learn the processing trends in the agri-food industry, the development trends of products utilizing local agricultural products, the licensing procedures for processing entrepreneurship, and marketing strategies, as well as practical sessions on processed products using local agricultural products.

To participate in the education, applicants must bring an application form and identification to the Agricultural Distribution Division of the County Agricultural Technology Center from the 22nd of this month until the 15th of next month, or submit them via email.

The county has been working to enhance the added value of agricultural products, including basic education on agricultural product processing, education on processing entrepreneurship, and the development of processed foods using agricultural specialties, by completing the Agricultural Product Processing Technology Utilization Center in 2019 to revitalize agriculture and rural areas and increase income.

Chief of the Agricultural Distribution Division, Choi Soon-beom, said on the 16th, "I hope that this education will give rise to various ideas for processing agricultural products using Cheorwon's agricultural products" and "We will support the creation of income sources for farmers through quality education, enhancement of the added value of agricultural products, promotion, and distribution."
