Italy: Cherries market that is growing, but technology is needed

High prices and compromised harvesting in Italy also due to the flood. In reality, global demand for cherries is on the rise and packing houses are under pressure to handle higher volumes. Market researchers predict that the global cherry market will continue to expand over the next five years at an annual growth rate of 5% to 10%. The world's largest cherry producer, Turkey, has quadrupled its production in just over a decade. The United States remains firmly in second place among producers, but Russia and Iran, in third and fourth places, were joined by Uzbekistan and Chile.
