Chile: Strengthening Wheat Chain in Ñuble with Public-Private Alliance

The Ministry of Agriculture (Minagri) of Ñuble has reinforced the public-private partnership to boost the cultivation of wheat in the region. The effort aims to strengthen the wheat-flour-bread chain, key for Chile's food sovereignty. The initiative was realized with the holding of two technical workshops of the Traditional Crops Program. The sessions had a wide participation of farmers and various sector actors. The meetings were held in the communes of El Carmen and Yungay, both belonging to the Ñuble Region. The sessions brought together farmers from the region, representatives of the public sector, such as SAG Ñuble and INIA Quilamapu, and private sector actors, such as the mill.
