(Iksan=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Jin-bang = Jeonbuk Iksan City announced on the 31st that it has improved the Hamyeol main branch of the bean sorting facility and added the Dongbu branch to enhance productivity and convenience for local bean farmers.
The Hamyeol main branch and Dongbu branch bean sorting facilities have recently completed trial operations and will start full-scale operation from November.
The Hamyeol main branch sorting facility has introduced new types of bean sorters and color sorters, which have 1.5 times the work performance compared to the previous ones. This will help standardize the quality of beans and improve their marketability, and the working environment has also been greatly improved with the operation of indoor sorting facilities and the installation of dust collectors.
Additionally, the installation of the Dongbu branch sorting facility is expected to improve accessibility for local farmers, reducing transportation distance and increasing work efficiency.

Rural Support Division Chief Lee Eun-suk said, "With the expansion of the bean sorting facilities, farmers can use the facilities more conveniently," and "We will do our best to enhance the production base for high-quality beans, reduce the operating costs of farms, and improve competitiveness through on-site customized agricultural machinery support."
