A study by Alencar Zanon, presented at the +Maíz National Congress, found a gap between the potential and actual yield of corn in Paraguay, with the potential ranging from 9 to 13.5 tons per hectare compared to an average yield of 11 tons. This gap is due to factors like density and nutrition management. The study, part of the Global Yield Gap Atlas project, aims to find ways to increase productive potential with minimal impact, supported by the National University of Asunción and the Federal University of Santa María.
