According to the weekly analysis of the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), released this Monday (20), the National Supply Company (Conab) published, in October 2025, the new estimate for the Brazilian cotton crop 2025/2026. The survey marks the beginning of the cycle with an increase in the projections for the cultivated area. Conab's expectation indicates a 2.50% increase in the cultivation area compared to the previous season, totaling 2.14 million hectares. Despite the expansion of the planted area, the average productivity of cotton lint was estimated at 125.67 arrobas per hectare, which represents a 3.55% decrease compared to the 2024/2025 crop.
