CRA revives an old unfulfilled promise by Sergio Massa and asks to incorporate "rural vandalism" as a criminal offense.

In recent months, rural insecurity has once again dominated the sector's agenda, which warns of the lack of controls and resources to combat it and the resulting productive and economic losses that stem from it. Despite being a widespread practice, especially in times of crisis, the truth is that there is no specific figure in the Penal Code that typifies it and establishes specific penalties for those who, for example, break silo bags, steal livestock, or damage crops or plantations. That is why Confederaciones Rurales Argentinas (CRA) presented a bill to incorporate "rural vandalism" into that legal body and to be penalized with years of imprisonment. It is a "remake" of the idea that Sergio Massa himself had driven in 2020. During the campaign, he had promised a similar reform and even drove projects in Congress, which never came out. Then he forgot about the matter.
