Damietta Port has been active, handling 25 container ships and general cargo in the past 24 hours. It received various commodities like corn, sugar, beans, beech wood, ethylene chloride, gelatin, and iron, and exported urea, gypsum, edible oil, and phosphate. The port also exported 9,960 tons of sand and 1,030 tons of Day Ammonia. The incoming containers reached 296 TEUs, transit containers 1,373, and the grain balance for the public sector was 172,272 tons. The port has several berths used for different purposes and is one of the oldest ports in Egypt.
