Over 150 guests from the regions where tobacco is grown in the country and abroad gathered at the Institute of Tobacco and Tobacco Products in the village of Markovo, Plovdiv, to celebrate World Tobacco Growers' Day. The event included the Executive Director of the World Tobacco Growers' Association Mercedes Vasquez, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ivan Kapitanov, as well as representatives of the tobacco growers' organizations from North Macedonia, Greece, and Bulgaria. Among the guests were also representatives of the commercial processors of raw tobacco and the tobacco industry.
