The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association is strategically focusing on Northeast Asian markets, including China, Korea, and Japan, to achieve a fruit and vegetable export target of 7 billion USD by 2024. These markets are the primary importers of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables, with China being the largest spender. The association anticipates durian, dragon fruit, bananas, mangoes, jackfruit, coconut, lychee, longan, and watermelon to be the top export earners. Additionally, the price of durian has reached over 100,000 VND/kg, with expectations to rise further, promising a positive outlook for the export sales of these fruits.
