Embrapa Beef Cattle has launched the Reproductive, Sanitary, and Zootechnical Calendar, an essential tool for cattle ranchers seeking to optimize management and increase farm efficiency. The calendar serves as a practical guide to assist the breeder during the breeding season, allowing for the planning and monitoring of key routine activities in beef cattle production. The primary objective of the material is to contribute to the improvement of the zootechnical indices of the properties. In an interview with Giro do Boi, Dr. Vanessa Felipe, a researcher at Embrapa, stated that the calendar is the result of field-tested research and aims to ensure producer adherence to achieve results such as higher pregnancy rates, lower return to estrus, and fewer reproductive losses. Check out the interview. The tool was developed to solve the biggest challenge in breeding: the absence of a predetermined breeding season, which still causes losses in many parts of the country.
