Brazilian exports of soybeans and soybean oil are expected to decrease slightly as domestic demand for oilseeds rises due to an increase in biodiesel production in diesel fuel starting in March 2024. Pedro Schicchi predicts a decrease in soybean oil exports by 800,000 to 1 million tons and expects domestic demand for soybean oil to increase. The increased demand for biodiesel may lead to a decrease in Brazil's exportable soybean surplus and a lower export forecast for 2024 compared to 2023.
