Ukraine: Exports of frozen beef in the first half increased by 9.6%

In the first half of 2021, Ukraine exported 12.1 thousand tons of frozen beef - 9.6% more than in the same period of 2020. This is evidenced by data from the State Customs Service. Exports of these products brought Ukraine $ 45.4 million, which is 16.6% more than in January-June 2020. The main importers of Ukrainian frozen beef in the first half of 2021 are China ($ 18.2 million), Belarus ($ 7.3 million) and Kazakhstan ($ 5.5 million). At the same time, exports of fresh or chilled cattle meat are collapsing. Thus, in the first half of 2021 it amounted to 203.6 tons, which is 83.2% less than compared to the same period last year.
