In 2023, Ukrainian exports of poultry meat reached 425,000 tons with a total value of USD 800 million. The increase in chicken exports in natural volume was 3 percent compared to 2022, but export profits decreased by 6 percent due to declines in the average selling price. The decline in global prices of grains and oilseeds resulted in lower costs of chicken production, with the MHP concern being the largest exporter of poultry meat from Ukraine, accounting for up to 90 percent of the overall volume.
