Over 150 professionals from five countries attended a workshop by FACTA to update their knowledge on Infectious Bronchitis, Laryngotracheitis, and Avian Influenza. The workshop highlighted the ongoing evolution of Infectious Bronchitis viruses, the impact of these diseases on poultry farming, and the importance of biosafety projects. It was emphasized that Brazil has done well in preventing Avian Influenza, a disease that significantly impacts poultry farming and the economy. The workshop also discussed the differences between Brazilian regulations for these diseases and noted that Infectious Bronchitis and Laryngotracheitis cause losses in production but do not restrict international trade, while Avian Influenza can lead to trade barriers.
