The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Thailand is fast-tracking the registration of vaccines for Lumpy Skin Disease in cattle and buffaloes due to an ongoing outbreak. This special channel is for licensees to import the vaccine after obtaining recipe registration. In case of severe outbreaks, the Department of Livestock Development can import the vaccine without a permit. Currently, two companies are processing the registration for the Lumpy Skin Vaccine, and the Department has imported 497,000 doses this year. The FDA ensures swift approval while maintaining quality standards.
