Fernando Herrera, president of the Association of Export Producers (APEA) which groups together companies that produce in third-party plants, told Bichos de Campo: "We are hearing from our clients what the trends are in a very dynamic meat market, in which there is always news. We have been with European, Chinese, and other market importers and there is a lot of interest in meat. There is a great demand worldwide and that is very good news for Argentina." Europe is the historic destination for Argentine beef but something is changing in terms of its demand. This interest translates into good prices, which have dropped a bit from the peak of 20,000 per ton reached a few days ago.
