By Gabriela Jucá São Paulo, 01/10/2025 - The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) ended September with an increase of 0.65%, after an advance of 0.33% in the third fortnight and a decrease of 0.44% in August, according to information recently released by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). With today's result, the IPC-S accumulates an increase of 3.78% over the last 12 months ending in August. For the year, the appreciation is 3.28%. The result exceeded the ceiling of the Projeções Broadcast survey estimates, which was an increase of 0.60%. The floor was 0.48% and the median was 0.58%. There was an increase in five of the eight groups that make up the IPC-S from August to September: Housing (-0.80% to 2.13%); Education, Reading and Recreation (-1.79% to 2.00%), Transportation (-0.24% to 0.30%), Food (-0.50% to -0.18%) and Communication (0.04% to 0.07%).
