Director Choi Yong-seok of the National Fisheries Science Institute visited two rainbow trout farms in Gyeongbuk on the 14th to check the response to high water temperatures and held a meeting with fishermen to prevent damage. The appropriate breeding water temperature for rainbow trout is about 15°C. According to recent farming status, 2,598 tons are produced from 130 fishing households nationwide, with an average of five years. In the Gyeongbuk region, 522 tons are produced from 32 fishing households. The average annual water temperature in the Gyeongbuk region's rainbow trout farms has been steadily rising in recent years. In particular, this year, with a prolonged heat wave expected, the importance of managing farmed organisms in high water temperatures is increasing further. Fisheries News Agency
