The Tambov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution 'Grain Quality Assessment Center' tested over 15 thousand tons of export flour in the first quarter of 2024, a nearly fourfold increase from the previous year. The majority of the flour was wheat flour and the main export destinations were Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus. The flour was checked for compliance with the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union ‘On the Safety of Food Products’ and the specific requirements of the importing countries. The testing looked for heavy metals, radionuclides, mycotoxins, residual pesticides, GMOs, and other indicators. The results showed that the flour met safety and quality standards.
