Last month, on the 31st, the "12th Jeonnam Forestry Workers' Unity Convention" was held at the Gangjin Indoor Gymnasium, where forestry workers reaffirmed their pride and sense of duty. The event aimed to create a new growth forestry model by linking forest therapy and garden tourism. The event was attended by approximately 2,000 people, including Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok, Gangjin County Mayor Kang Jin-won, National Assembly Members Shin Jeong-hoon and Ju Cheol-hyun, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Members Cha Young-soo and Jeon Seo-hyun, President Choi Sang-tae of the Korea Professional Forestry Association, and President Kim Dong-geun of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korea Professional Forestry Association. Jeonnam's forestry workers, including 30,000 full-time forestry workers, 5,000 forestry successors, independent forestry workers, leading forestry workers, and private garden workers, total around 100,000.
