Turkey: Fresh fig export started

Fresh figs, one of the important agricultural products of the Aegean, are exported to all over the world, especially to European countries such as Germany, England, Holland and France. Export of Sarılop fresh figs started as of 31 July. Black figs, the cut date of which was determined as August 6 and the date of export as August 7, took their place on the shelves. Sharing the information that Turkey gained 58 million dollars in foreign exchange income from fresh fig exports in 2022, Aegean Exporters' Associations Coordinator Vice President and Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association President Hayrettin Aircraft said, "In 2022, we exported 24,16 tons of fresh figs to approximately 60 countries. A large portion of 45 million dollars of our fresh fig export was obtained from Bursa black figs. The export of Sarılop figs was 12 million dollars.
