Excessive temperatures during the first and the beginning of the second 10-day period in December, with maximum values exceeding 13-14 degrees Celsius in many places in the country, extended the autumn vegetation of autumn grain crops. As a result of the unusually high December temperatures and the availability of very good soil moisture reserves, some of the later sown crops advanced in their development and entered the 3-leaf phase. At the beginning of the next 7-day period, a cold snap and a change in the agrometeorological conditions are expected, according to the latest forecast by agrometeorologist Dukena Jolev from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
