In an interview with Giro do Boi, zootechnician Eduardo Pedroso, executive director of origination for Friboi, states that the path to success lies in genetic acceleration and the adoption of a high-efficiency system, with a focus on sustainability and profitability. According to Pedroso, to take the next step in productivity, Brazil needs to eradicate the use of the lead bull in reproduction. “The biggest hidden partner in Brazilian livestock today is the lead bull impregnating the cow,” warns the director.
