Georgia's fig exports have reached a new high, with revenue surpassing $1 million in 2022 due to a 40% increase in prices. Despite high energy prices, the war in Ukraine, and global economic instability, export volumes have remained strong, indicating a high demand. The export destinations, Russia and Armenia, have accounted for 60% and 40% of the figs exported respectively, with Russia's share nearly doubling from 2021. The price increase is due to increased cultivation and transport costs, limiting profit growth.
