"Googlis" from Trabzon to the world

In Trabzon, Ülkü Koçoğlu, who discovered the export potential of snails during the pandemic, started production with 'Helix Aspersa Maxima' land snails brought from Bulgaria. The local name for land snails, "Googlis," also inspired the brand name. The eggs and mucus of the land snails are carefully collected on the farm. Natural products derived from snail extract are used in the cosmetics sector. Additionally, the snail eggs produced on the farm are known as "white caviar" in the gastronomy world and are sold for 3,000 Euros per kilogram on the global market. Ülkü Koçoğlu's research on the internet during the pandemic quickly turned into a production process extending to exports. Realizing the export potential of the land snails, Koçoğlu decided to establish a production farm after his investigations.
