Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, received this Wednesday (15) the Minister of Integration and Regional Development, Waldez Góes, to discuss the joint actions of the Government of Brazil in combating the cassava witches' broom disease in the state of Amapá. The disease, caused by the fungus Ceratobasidium theobromae (Rhizoctonia theobromae), already affects ten municipalities in Amapá, impacting agricultural production and food security of indigenous and non-indigenous communities.
