South Korean government representatives have resumed audits of five mango exporters in Brazil's São Francisco Valley, following a three-year interruption due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The audits are being conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, and will now only be conducted at the beginning of the harvest instead of throughout. Despite the pandemic, mango exports to South Korea were not interrupted, with the partnership recognizing the inspection work by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture. Approximately 5,000 tons of mangoes are exported from the valley to South Korea annually.
