From July to October, grain exports from Russia amounted to 20.6 million tons, which is a quarter less than in 2024 when 27.3 million tons were shipped in the same period, reports "Interfax" citing data from the Russian Grain Union (RGU). In particular, wheat exports decreased from 23.3 million tons to 18.2 million tons (minus 28%), according to Elena Tyurina, Director of the Analytical Department of the RGU. In October, shipments of major types of grains decreased from 8 million tons in 2024 to 6.45 million tons in 2025, including wheat from 7.02 million tons to 6.02 million tons respectively (minus 14.2%). Barley exports fell more than twofold—from 695 thousand tons to 310 thousand tons, corn exports almost tripled—from 354 thousand tons to 120 thousand tons, and peas exports decreased 2.4 times to 111 thousand tons.
