The grain harvest in Rio Grande do Sul for the 2022/23 season is projected to see a significant increase, with soybean production expected to rise by 124.4% to 20.563 million tons, corn production by 104.5% to 6.102 million tons, and rice production by 1.10% to 7.094 million tons, according to Emater/RS and Irga. Meanwhile, the first crop of beans is expected to see a 4.56% decrease in area but a 28.19% increase in yield. The total area for summer grains are estimated to be 8,293,457 hectares, a 1.60% increase from the previous season.
