Hani Ezzat, head of the Commercial Office in Kuala Lumpur, revealed that Egyptian dates exports to Malaysia witnessed a boom during the first quarter of 2022, to a record $2,301 million, compared to $1,468 million during the same quarter of 2021. This came during an electronic symposium organized by the Export Council for Food Industries under the title “Food Industries in Malaysia.” He explained that Egypt’s exports of dates to Malaysia during the first quarter approached the value achieved during the whole of 2021, as it recorded $3,036 million, compared to $2,613 million in 2020, a growth of 16.2%.
