The State Dairy Herd Genetic Improvement – Embryo Transfer project in Pontes e Lacerda, Mato Grosso, supported by the State Secretariat for Family Agriculture (Seaf), Empaer, and the City Hall, has yielded significant results. Half-blood Girolando heifers born through the project are producing milk up to 200% above the state average in their first pregnancy, with some producing up to 12 liters per day. The project, which involves embryo transfer using IVF and high-production Dutch bulls, has benefited 46 producers in Pontes e Lacerda since its inception, with 192 half-blood Girolando females born so far. The milk production per day in Mato Grosso is 4.66 liters, highlighting the project's success in genetic improvement and milk yield.
