Despite adverse weather conditions in some regions, Russia's honey production has not decreased and wholesale prices have remained stable, according to the Union of Industrial Beekeepers of Russia (SPPR). The honey harvest was good, particularly from linden and buckwheat, due to modern technologies and varied weather conditions in different regions. The SPPR is advocating for the development of pollination services and the extension of a ban on bee imports from Central Asia to reduce bee diseases. An all-Russian system has also been implemented to alert beekeepers about chemical treatments of fields.
