A new phytosanitary agreement with China has been reached, enabling Brazil to export beans. The Chinese government has the necessary documentation for negotiations on all types of beans. However, the process can take up to two years due to the back and forth of proposals related to the health of the product. Currently, the market is handling a low volume of business with low demand, and carioca beans, which may replace higher quality grains due to damage from rain, are being used in less favored segments of the population.
