The Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) has lowered its oilseed harvest estimate for this year by at least one million tons, from 30 to 28.5-29 million, due to adverse weather conditions. However, the sowing area for sunflower, soybeans, and rapeseed has increased, with soybeans and rapeseed reaching record levels, potentially mitigating the losses. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture highlights a significant rise in oilseed production since 2014, with further growth anticipated by 2030. Additionally, grain and sugar beet harvests have also experienced substantial increases since 2014.
