According to the report "Peru: Coca Crop Monitoring 2024", prepared by the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the surface area of illicit coca crops within protected natural areas was reduced by 21% during the year 2024, compared to what was recorded in 2023.
