Consumption of rubiaceae in Africa has reached a record high, with a 2.6% increase from the previous year. Côte d'Ivoire has the highest year-on-year increase in consumption by 50%, followed by Cameroon, Morocco, South Africa, and Nigeria. Ethiopia is the leading producer of rubiaceae in Africa, with Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and South Africa also being significant producers. These six countries account for nearly 75% of the total consumption in Africa.
