Over the past week, Ukraine has slightly increased the transfer of grain shipments through the railway border crossings with Hungary and Romania, while the figures at the borders with Slovakia and Poland have decreased. This fact was noted by Valeriy Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Operations of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," reports APK-Inform.
Thus, as of November 12, an average of 40.2 wagons of grain were sent to Hungary per day, which is 16.9 units more than at the end of October. The increase in transfers at the border with Romania is estimated at 6.3 wagons per day, to 9.6 wagons per day.
Regarding the other crossings, the transfer volumes at the Polish border decreased by 4.1 wagons per day, to 6.75 wagons per day, and at the Slovak border by 1.9 wagons per day, to 13.5 wagons per day.
"The total average daily figure for the transfer of grain shipments and meal as of November 12 was 154 wagons per day, which exceeds the figure at the end of October by 19 wagons per day (or by 14%)," added V. Tkachov.
