The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has proposed introducing unified veterinary regulations for the inspection of non-industrial plant products intended for sale at markets and fairs. The draft order establishes mandatory veterinary regulations for the inspection of home-grown plant products. The document concerns vegetables, fruits, herbs, and other goods produced by citizens in personal farms if they are intended for sale at markets and fairs or for use in departmental institutions: the army, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service, and other security structures. The regulations will apply to vegetables and fruits in both fresh and processed forms, but will not affect products for personal consumption or industrial production.
