In Russia, the quota for imported whey for infant formula may be reduced

The Ministry of Agriculture proposed to reduce the permissible volumes of imported whey used in the production of formula for infants. The corresponding draft order prepared by the ministry was published on the official federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts. We are talking about a product with a demineralization level of 90 percent (D-90). According to the document, next year they plan to reduce quotas by approximately three times from the current year level - to 580 tons. This year the figure was one and a half thousand tons. In the past, it was much higher - 3,661 tons, and a year earlier the import of no more than two thousand was allowed. The specific text of the bill has not yet been prepared.
