Vietnam saw a significant increase in pepper exports in May, with a 135% rise in volume and a 14% increase in value compared to April. The first five months of 2024 witnessed a slight decrease in export volume but a notable increase in value compared to the same period last year. The average export price of pepper also saw an upward trend. The country has been focusing on promoting pepper exports to various traditional markets, with notable increases in exports to Germany and Korea. However, exports to the United Arab Emirates have decreased. Except for black pepper, all pepper types saw an increase in quantity and value.
