The oil and fat industry of Ukraine continues to operate in conflict conditions and adapts to the realities of the current situation. In MY 2022/23, in addition to the low sunflower harvest, power outages, and problems with product sales, the end of the season was accompanied by worsening logistics problems. Large carry-over stocks of sunflower and finished products, which were initially viewed as a burden, compensated for the decline in the harvest and allowed the industry to operate and increase exports of our strategic product - sunflower oil. Some players have chosen refining as one of the ways to solve current problems and keep their business operational. In 2022/23 MY, exports of refined sunflower oil increased (+7% compared to 2021/22 MY). The pace of refined oil shipments was fairly stable throughout the season.
