Indian agricultural exports to the US saw a 15% increase in July 2020 compared to the same period last year, with rice, spices, and vegetables being the main exports. US exports to India, however, decreased by 56%. This growth is due to a surge in demand for Indian agricultural products, especially rice, and is expected to continue despite the pandemic. The Trade Promotion Council of India's constant engagement with buyers and suppliers has also contributed to this growth. However, a current issue is the unavailability of containers, preventing timely supply of food products.
