The Competition Council of Morocco has launched an investigation into the compound feed market for the poultry sector and related markets, following a report that revealed high market concentration and competitive imbalances. The report highlighted the fragility of the poultry farming sector and stated that the dominance of a few large companies in the compound feed manufacturing market, along with vertical integration, limits diversification and innovation, and increases the application of less competitive prices. The council's decision to investigate falls under its duties to regulate competition and protect consumer interests.
