Isparta, a city in Turkey, is aiming to export 200 thousand tons of apples abroad this year, as the apple harvest continues in the region. The majority of Turkey's apple production is done in Isparta, particularly in the districts of Eğirdir, Gelendost, and Senykent. The apple yield this year is expected to be good, and the plan is to increase production from last year's 1 million 130 thousand tons to around 1 million 200 thousand tons. Currently, apple exports are at 140 thousand tons, up from 14 thousand tons in 2019, and 25% of Turkey's apple production is made in Isparta.
